Communicator apps after upgrading PBXware on latest v7.x

Following the upgrade of the PBXware system to the latest version (v7.x), it is essential to be informed about certain considerations related to the Communicator apps.


Once the system is upgraded to the latest version, the apps should be compatible with the version of PBXware v7. This implies that if your Communicator app is running on version 5.3.x, it should be updated to the latest version, v7.x.


Further details regarding post-upgrade checks for your PBXware system are provided in the subsequent text.


NOTE:  Kindly ensure the updating of your Communicator app to the latest version (v5.3.x) is completed prior to initiating the upgrade of the PBXware system.

Communicator Desktop 7.0


After the PBXware upgrade, end users will be automatically logged out from the Communicator Desktop app. Upon re-logging in, a popup will appear, as shown in the screenshot below:




Upon clicking "OK," the new popup will be presented.




By clicking on "Download & Install" Communicator 6.2.1 will be available (please refer to the screenshot below):



The subsequent step involves selecting "Restart Application and Install." Follow the prompted steps, and the concluding step should be visible as depicted below. By clicking "Finish," end users will be able to log in successfully to the Communicator Desktop app.





Version 6.2.1 of Communicator is compatible with PBXware version v7; however, we highly recommend following to the additional steps outlined to install the latest version v7.x of Communicator for optimal performance.


In the Help section, please search for "Check for Updates," click on it, and proceed to follow the additional steps to update your version of Communicator to the latest v7.




The following window will appear. 



By following the steps, the Communicator will be successfully updated to the latest version, 7.x.

Communicator GO 7.0 Android


After upgrading PBXware, end users will be logged out from the Communicator Go 5 app. Upon re-logging in, there will be a popup as shown in the screenshot below:



The end user is kindly advised to navigate to Google Play Store, search for "Communicator Go 7," click on Install, and proceed to follow the steps for installing the application.




Upon the successful download of the application, end users are required to enter their Email and Password for the login process.




Communicator GO 7.0 iOS


After upgrading PBXware, end users will be logged out from the Communicator Go 5 app. Upon re-logging in, there will be a popup as shown in the screenshot below:



The end user is kindly advised to navigate to the App Store, search for "Communicator Go 7," click on Install, and proceed to follow the steps for installing the application.


Upon the successful download of the application, end users are required to enter their Email and Password for the login process.
