General :: How to use moh instead of ringing

To setup Music on Hold instead of ringing on an Extension, edit Extension in question and section 'General'. Set MoH of choice in field 'Music on Hold' and Save.

It allows users to choose different Music on Hold class for every extension. Select the MOH (Music On Hold) class name. All sound files belonging to this MOH class will be played to users dialing this extension.

NOTE:

When you select MoH class, you need to enter "m" in Incoming Dial Option field. Entering "m" will provide Music on Hold to the calling party until the called channel answers.


To setup Music on Hold instead of ringing on a Dial Group, edit Dial Group in question and section 'General'. Set MoH of choice in field 'Dial Options', in the following format: m-TenantNumber-MoHname and Save. Example for tenant 200 and MoH 'test' is shown below:


m(m-200-test)


To setup Music on Hold instead of ringing on an Enhanced Ring Group, edit Enhanced Ring Group in question and section 'General'. Set MoH of choice in field 'Music on Hold' and Save.


To setup Music on Hold instead of ringing on an IVR, edit IVR in question and section 'Ringing Type'. Set 'Ringing Type' as 'Music on Hold' and set MoH of choice in field 'Music on Hold' and Save.


To setup Music on Hold instead of ringing on a Queue, edit Queue in question and section 'General'. Set MoH of choice in field 'Music on Hold' and Save.
