UAD :: HOWTO Yealink Timezone Setup

YEALINK DATE/TIME SETUP

In order to meet the requirements of updating a Time Zone with DST for different customers, Yealink phones have Locations which can be modified. Unfortunately, in some rare cases, this can cause incorrect Date/Time for some customers.

This User Guide is written as general guide on how to set up Yealink Location if You have incorrect Date/time on Your Yealink phones.

MAIN TIME ZONE SETUP

To select or add timezone, go to Settings --> Voicemail, click Show advanced options and in the Timezone section choose or add desired timezone. Click Save to apply the settings. This should set correct Time and Date for all Yealink phones after provisioning.

MANAGE LOCATION

In some rare cases, there can be deviation in time. To solve this, Yealink added Location in order to set up Date/Time more precisely. This can be modified through phone web interface or with custom provisioning configuration.

Phone Web Interface

Open a new browser window and enter your phone IP address in order to access the phone web administration interface login screen. Example: http://192.168.1.22.

To Find out your Yealink phone IP Address.

Press the Menu keysoft.
Press the Enter keysoft to enter 1. Status.

The IP address will be displayed on the top of display.

Login to phone web administration interface with your username and password. Please note, factory default login details are username: admin and password: admin.
Click on Settings tab.
Click on Time & Date in the left navigation menu.
Select Your time zone in the Time Zone drop down menu.
Select You location in the Location drop down menu.
Click on the Confirm button to save changes.

NOTE: This only works if the Daylight Saving Time is set to Automatic.

Custom Configuration

Open a new browser window and enter the IP address in order to access the PBXware web administration login screen. Example: http://192.168.1.10.
Login to PBXware with your e-mail address and password.
Navigate to Settings:UAD and click Edit to open Your Yealink UAD.
In the User Agent General Auto Provisioning Template field enter Your custom configuration to modify Your Time zone through provisioning.

Example:

 local_time.time_zone = +10
 local_time.time_zone_name = Australia(Syndey,Melbourne,Canberra

Click Save button to save changes.
Reboot Your phone.

This should set Your Time zone to GMT +10 and Syndey as a Location for all Your phones which are provisioned with this UAD template.
