CLI Routing
The CLI Routing option could be found under Tenant level -> Settings -> CLI Routing.
CLI Routing is used to define rules that will send callers (incoming calls to the PBXware system) to different destinations based on their caller IDs.
CLI Routing rules can be defined for each DID on a Tenant, in this section, specific rules for the entire Tenant can be created.
fine-tune. This option is used to fine tune the functionality of the DID by adding rules that send the calls to different destinations based on the Caller IDs.
For example, if the caller's ID begins with 203, you can send all those calls to the IVR by creating a first rule, and if the CallerID is specifically number 063456789 then send that call to extension 4444 by creating a second rule. That would be an example of a single call routing using this feature.
Once you click on the CLI Validation & Routing button on the Edit DID page, a new window with the following options will be shown:
Conclusion:
The CLI Routing feature is primarily used to block certain incoming numbers. However, it can also be leveraged to route specific callers to designated destinations, allowing for prioritized handling or faster service where needed.
