  1. Browser click to dial 


This is a browser extension which allows users to dial any telephone number on a web page by clicking on the number. For some browsers you will need to manually install the extension once it is downloaded.


This option can be found under gloCOM Tools -> Preferences -> Modules. You will be able to install the gloCOM addon by clicking on the Get browser addons button.



By clicking here, the gloCOM Call addon will appear and it can enable it by clicking on the Enable button.



Once done, every number which is being recognized will get gloCOM icon and when clicking on that number the call from gloCOM app will be initiated. 




It is important to mention that we cannot  affect what format of the number will be dialed as gloCOM will dial the number in the same format as added on the page itself. It is worth noting that the number should be added in E.164 format or as a valid local number for the US, UK, or Canada to be recognized by Communicator/gloCOM.




Under gloCOM Call extension settings it is possible to choose which app will be used for calls, where you can choose between desktop and webapp.



Also you can disable gloCOM Call extension as well under settings.



  1. Click to dial: Skype for Business module

The click-to-dial plugin allows you to make regular or conference calls from Skype For Business using the PBXware phone system. It allows the user to use ANY of their devices to make the call through their Phone System.

This includes: deskphone, softphone, and mobile phone. The user can even make a call from Skype with a single click through the mobile network (GSM) and Skype will still show its status as On Call until the user hangs up on GSM. When click to dial plugin is enabled, two options appear in Skype For Business: Call via gloCOM and Conference via gloCOM.

When we click on the Call via gloCOM option, a dialogue appears, as seen in the next image. We have to choose the contact number that we want to call and the device from which we want to make a call. Only one Skype For Business contacts can be selected if we want to use this option. If the check box below Show this window before placing a call is selected, every time we are placing a call from Skype for Business this window will popup (this can be changed in preferences). Once we press Call, the call will be placed, in this case using our deskphone.

  1. Click to dial: CRM


For CRM click to dial, we would need to use the gloCOM web browser click to dial extension. The integrated one will not work. Below is an example of how it looks in ZOHO CRM.



So, if you want to place a call from CRM, you would need to have gloCOM web browser extension installed and once you click on the gloCOM icon, the call will be placed from your gloCOM app:
