To access 'Voicemail' from outside by using the ‘Remote Access’ option, users can utilize IVR and/or DID.
IVR
Please navigate to a desired Tenant → 'Home' → 'IVR' → 'Add IVR'.
In order to complete the configuration successfully, please set up the following fields as suggested:
- 1. 'Destination Type' → 'Remote Access'
- 2. 'Destination' → 'Voicemail'
Once you enter the number that you configured in IVR, you will be asked for an Extension number and PIN, after which you will be able to check voicemail and change the voicemail settings accordingly.

DID
Please navigate to Master Tenant → 'Home' → 'DIDs' → 'Add DID'.
To set up configuration further, please navigate to a desired 'Tenant' → 'Home' → 'DIDs' → Select a newly added 'DID'.
Following this, please set up the following fields as suggested:
- 1. 'Destination' → 'Remote Access'
- 2. 'Value' → 'Voicemail'

When you dial the added DID, you will be asked for the Extension number and PIN.
NOTE: Remote Access needs to be enabled on an Extension Level (ES).
- 'Remote Access' can be enabled on the following path:
- 1. Select a desired Tenant → 'Extensions' → 'Edit' → 'Enhanced Services' → 'Remote Access'.
- 2. Enable the ES.
- 3. Press 'Save'.
- For example, if the voice mailbox number is '2000', then a user should dial '*124 2000' to access this particular custom voice mailbox.
- Master Tenant → 'Settings' → 'Voicemail' → 'Advanced Features'
- Allow Voicemail Menu (via *)
- Allow a caller to access Voicemail Menu by dialing '*'
- (E.g. When reaching Extension's voicemail to leave a message, pressing '*' will present you with the login for the Extension's Voicemail box).

- Allow Voicemail Dialout and Callback
- Allow a caller to use 'Voicemail Dialout and Callback' from the voicemail menu by entering the Extension's PIN.

Voice Mailbox Access
In order to access custom voice mailboxes from any PBXware Extension, please dial '*124 + $VOICE_MAILBOX_NUMBER'.
