How to display the dialed extension name when calling an extension

If there is a need to display the dialed extension name and number when calling an extension, please follow the steps below:

For example, if extension 102 is registered on a Yealink phone and dials extension 105, by default only the extension number will be shown on the display of extension 102. If the customer wants the extension name to be displayed as well, the phone display should show, for example, John 105 instead of just 105.

The first required change is to set the options ‘Trust Remote Party ID’ to Yes and ‘Send Remote Party ID’ to Send PAI. These settings are located under Extension → Caller ID. Once enabled, the extension name will be displayed when the called extension starts ringing.

If you also want the extension name to be displayed when calling an extension that is offline (for example, when the call goes to voicemail), there is a hidden option that must be added in MySQL to enable this functionality, in addition to the options mentioned above.

INSERT INTO pbxware.config SET name = 'connected_line_before_dial', value = 1;

NOTE: This hidden option can be used for PBXware v7.3 and above.
